Using the Akhanda Yoga approach to Yoga practice and teaching, Michelle uses her solid foundation in Asana practice, alongside the other very important and varied elements of yoga such as Pranayama, Meditation + Mantra, creating a holistic practice and in turn, balanced life.
Originally from Melbourne, Michelle was introduced to Yoga by her husband Paul in 2002. After spending some time trying different styles of Yoga, Michelle was inspired by Ashtanga Yoga and the benefits of Mysore style or the self-practice method.
With the guidance of a few teachers along the way, Helen Aldred in Liverpool (UK) and Dena Kingsberg’s shala in Byron Bay (Australia) Michelle cultivated the discipline of self-practice and there began the unfolding of her yoga journey.
The self-motivating practice heightened Michelle's sense of commitment, effort and dedication to the practice of Yoga. After 6 years of dedicated practice, was introduced to the inspiring Yoga teachers, Nick & Radha Bradley (founders of Akhanda Yoga Australia) and Yogrishi Vishvketu, founder of Akhanda Yoga.
Michelle, alongside husband Paul, completing her in-depth 200hr Teacher Training in Australia, before completing her 300hr Yoga Teacher Training with Yogrishi Vishvketu in Rishikesh, India.
Traversing life and travelling the world together Paul and Michelle work, learn, practice and teach on an axis across the world from Byron Bay, Australia, Rishikesh in India and Liverpool in the UK.
